Since 1975 Keith has been engaged in the marble and tile industry. After many years of installing marble and tile flooring in the Volusia County area, we decided to introduce the Granite and Quartz countertop installation in 2007. We are family owned and operated and we pride ourselves on quality work.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. Is granite high maintenance?
A. Granite is relatively easy to care for. As long as you make sure to seal it regularly and don’t cause intentional harm, your granite counter tops should last a lifetime. Using warm and soapy water can disinfect it. That being said, hard impacts and heavy blows can crack/chip your counter tops, and if you don’t seal your counter tops they can absorb oils and stain.
Q. Can you fix my plumbing, cabinets and electrical wiring?
A. Although we are very skilled when installing our counter tops, we are not licensed with the state of Florida to reconnect plumbing, electric and trim.
Q. What is the counter top removal process?
A. Please refer to this document that informs you about the removal process: Counter Top Removal
Q. What are some of your companies policies?
A. Here are a few of our companies rules that you should be familiar with:
- Free Estimates
- Install Dates range from 10-14 business days after template depending on scheduling, shipping and back orders, etc…
- Before install, an 80% down payment is required.
Q. Can quartz be put in direct sunlight?
A. You want to avoid direct sunlight as it can cause your quartz to fade. Kitchens inside however should be safe as long as your windows are properly tinted.
Q. Will my seams be visible?
A. While joining your counter tops, several seams may be needed. This is determined by your slab size, coloring and other variations in the stone. However, we try our best to hide them and make as few as possible. If we can get away with less seams we do.
Q. What happens during install?
A. Before install, make sure to clean out any cabinets, drawers and compartments around the counter top. During installation, you must be there to answer any questions. Seams will be placed for the best appearance. The install process will be mostly mess free.
Q. What is the templating process?
A. After you visit us and select your slab, we will send a qualified templater to your house. There, they will measure the area where your counter top will go. You must be present or you will not get templated. After that your counter top will be fabricated and typically installed within 10-14 business days.
Q. Can I put anything hot on my countertops?
A. Although granite is very strong, prolonged exposure to heat is not recommended. As for quartz and marble, you should especially avoid placing cookware on them as they can discolor and damage. Your best bet is to use a trivet or cooking pad to prevent damage.
